TEHRAN -- Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Jasem Mohammad al-Kharafi is to arrive in Tehran on Saturday for a four-day official visit at the head of a high-ranking parliamentary and political delegation.

Al-Kharafi will visit Iran at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart Mahdi Karrubi, IRNA reported.

He is to meet and hold talks with President Mohammad Khatami, Expediency Council (EC) Chairman Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Karroubi, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Hassan Rowhani and Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi.

He and his entourage are to inspect the cultural and historical sites of Isfahan in central Iran.
